COVER REVEAL Sinister Souls & Dead Things

Martina McAtee has captured my imagination since the first chapter of her first book Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things.  Her storytelling is amazing and it sucks you into the book and makes you part of the pack.  I feel like I've been a part of Ember's journey and really curious to see what happens next.  This is the third book in the series.  So I'm very excited  excited to announce THIS cover reveal.
Here is my review of book 2

Sinister Souls and Dead Things

Seventeen-year-old Ember Lonergan has made her pack a promise: To go after their enemies before their enemies can come for them. It was a bold statement that she has no idea how to back up. She hasn’t mastered driving on the highway, much less how to take down a hostile system of government. What’s worse, half her pack is crazy, and the other half is broken…possibly forever.

But none of that matters anymore. Ember isn’t just Ember anymore. Ember and her cousins are the prophesied Trinity, foretold to take down the druids and break the curse that’s plagued witches and reapers for centuries. The Oracle has been gathering their allies—laying the groundwork for their return—for decades, but all of that work is destroyed in an instant when Ember’s betrayed by somebody she thought she could trust.

Alliances are crumbling. Humans are missing. People are dying. The High Inquisitor has arrived. Witches have taken over the school, and they are instituting new policies every day.

Their new message is clear:

If you fight for the Trinity, you burn with the Trinity.

Resist Review

RESIST by Jeffery Martin Botzenhart

Screenshot_20170409-100029.jpg

This was such an amazing read!
It is set in Europe that is on the brink of WWII, our protagonist a German soldier named Rutger has been given a task by his commanding officer.  This mission finds him in Vienna, where most of the story takes place.  I felt instantly connected to Rutger because right away you could tell that he was a gentle soul.  He was definitely one of my favorite things about this novella.
Rutger finds that he has an unlikely and unusual ally in the form of a mysterious woman.  I love the fact that there is a woman who seems capable, smart and totally kick ass.
I really love the tension and secrecy of the time period too.  This is a spy/mystery novella so I will not say anything else because I fear I will spoil you.
This novella was easy to read, flowed seamlessly and had me turning the pages with no regards to my daily chores.  Engrossing, that is why I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes spy novels or WWII period novels or anyone interested in the affairs of the heart.  Great, really great and fast read.

His Haunted Heart by Lila Felix cover reveal

His Haunted Heart by Lila Felix has a new COVER! What do you think? I feel like it fits the story better.

Blurb:

Six years ago, deep in the swamps of Louisiana, Delilah’s face was marred forever at the hands of her sisters by the point of her mother’s kitchen knife. Despite her protest, her parents insist she make haste in finding a husband. But finding a husband isn’t an easy feat with a scar running the length of your face.
Porter Jeansonne keeps to himself. He lives in his mansion, set apart from the town he’s grown to detest. One night, walking through the town, seeking to collect a debt, he hears a man selling off his daughter in the most deplorable part of the darkened streets. He chooses to take pity on her and set her free from her despicable family. Until he sees her face. He then knows that maybe she is the mend for his haunted heart.

Bio:
Lila Felix is full of antics and stories. She refused to go to Kindergarten after the teacher made her take a nap on the first day of school. She staged her first protest in middle school. She almost flunked out of her first semester at Pepperdine University because she was enthralled with their library and frequently was locked in. Now her husband and three children have to put up with her rebel nature in Louisiana where her days are filled with cypress trees, crawfish, and of course her books and writing. She writes about the ordinary people who fall extraordinarily in wild, true love.

Cover reveal of Naomi by Mya O’Malley

Cover Reveal: Naomi by Mya O'Malley

We here at St. Sisters Book Reviews are proud to present the cover for Naomi by Mya O’Malley, scheduled to release on March 30th! This paranormal romance is the sequel to Maggie, which Mya released in August 2016 and was one of my favourite books of last year. Check out the amazing cover below

Naomi by Mya O’Malley

Naomi has a knack for attracting attention from ethereal beings—whether she wants it or not. Newly engaged to her sexy neighbor, Bryce, she has little time to celebrate and plan for her upcoming wedding, because no sooner does she wrap up a heartbreaking cold case than she finds herself right back where she started, searching for answers alongside ghostly spirits. This time, however, Naomi learns that things are not what they seem as a man from her past quickly becomes her worst nightmare. If she’s not careful, this man might crush her hopes and dreams forever as he proves to be her most difficult opponent yet. Still, Naomi tries to focus on her relationship with Bryce. Can it withstand head games and cruel intentions? Naomi makes it her mission to keep Bryce and his daughter safe from harm, but will true love be tough enough to withstand her adversaries? Naomi must keep her eyes wide open and question everything— and everyone—in order to survive.

Excerpt:

Memories of the not so distant past slammed Naomi. Images of Ryan and Maggie . . . Maggie. The ghost that had all but consumed her. Maggie had reached out to Naomi, demanding peace. Naomi admitted to herself that she had become obsessed at that time in her life. Preoccupied with putting both Maggie and Ryan to rest. Luckily, Bryce was loyal and patient to the core during the first hectic months of their new relationship. What would he say now, knowing that a spirit was back? Knowing that this time it wasn’t the sweet spirit of a girl named Maggie or a quirky, kindhearted man that needed her help? This time it was worse, far worse. This time the spirit was unsettled, tortured—and to make matters even daunting . . . He was her ex-boyfriend.
